The stunning landscaped grounds of Kings Heath Park plays host to the festival this year.
Visitors are promised truly amazing experience, a visual feast of light and illumination, hidden amongst the lanscaped grounds of one of Birmingham's largest city parks, which lends itself perfectly to the layout of the lanterns with its combination of lakes, woodland, gardens and pathways
This year's Christmas themed Lantern Festival will illuminate the park turning it into a spectacular fusion of dual culture, vibrant colors, and artistic sculptures! Prepare to enter a magical experience and discover life-size and larger-than-life lanterns in all shapes and forms, from a 'Gingerbread House' to a magnificent giant lantern recreation of the iconic 'Birmingham Central Library'.
The festival will not only wow visitors with its beautiful hand-sculpted lanterns, the entertainment area adds another dimension to this wonderful night out with a food and drink area, Santa's Grotto, a handful of fairground rides for children and merchandise marquee where visitors can buy a souvenir of their experience to take home. There is no better family-friendly festival to visit this Christmas.
The Magical Lantern Festival will be open from the 24th of November to the 1st of January and due to the exceptional demand for tickets last year, this year it will be open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday each week (excluding 24th and 25th of December). The festival is open from 5pm to 10pm with last entry at 9pm.
