With the Midlands’ biggest 10K just over a week away, the deadline to enter has been confirmed as 10am on Thursday, May 23.
More than 7,000 people of all running and walking abilities have already signed up to take part in this year’s Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K and there are now a limited number of spaces available.
Anyone who enters between May 17 and 23 will need to pick up their run pack from the Customer Information Points in the city centre. These late entries also incur a £5 admin fee, payable at point of entry.
Customer Information Points are: Saturday May 25, 11am to 5pm, Aston University. Sunday May 26, from 8.30am, New Street, near the junction with Bennetts Hill.
This year’s Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K features a new route, which takes in some of the most iconic sights in the city centre.
This is the first time the 10K will take runners and walkers through the historic heart of Birmingham city centre and along New Street.
In another first for the Great Birmingham 10K, there will be two start lines – both on Colmore Row either side of its junction with Bennetts Hill. Depending on which side of Colmore Row participants start they will assemble along Waterloo Street and Victoria Square or towards Birmingham Cathedral.
Coffee shops and stores will be open for business along the city centre streets hosting the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K, making it a great opportunity for spectators to spend Bank Holiday Weekend in the city centre while cheering on friends and family.
Anyone who enters the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K will receive £10 off their entry fee for the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run half marathon, which takes place on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Sign up now at greatrun.org/great-birmingham-10k
