A dazzling array of top comedy, musical theatre and drama is set to grace the stage at The Alexandra in Birmingham this year.
A brand new Autumn Season announced today includes a host of must-see productions including the first ever UK Tour of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, a brand new stage adaptation of the 90s TV hitBand of Gold, a new production of Gaslight and the acclaimed musical Once.
Also announced is a brand new production of The Exorcist, Jason Manford in Curtains and the hilarious farce Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
This Summer also sees the best of regional talent hitting the stage in the Stage Experience production of Singin’ In The Rain, before the UK opening of 9 to 5 The Musical starring Love Island favouriteAmber Davies.
And a sparkling festive season features A Christmas Carol, Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas and a Christmas run of the greatest musical from the golden age – The King and I.
Families will also be delighted with sensational offerings such as Peppa Pig, David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy Live On Stage and a brand new production of Dennis and Gnasher Unleashed.
They all join the previously announced shows of The Girl On The Train, the stellar hit The Bodyguard, the legendary Eddie Izzard with Wunderbar and the hilarious Boeing-Boeing.

Legendary British actor Martin Shaw leads the cast of the psychological thriller Gaslight, which sees the classic written by Patrick Hamilton brought to the stage from Bill Kenwright.
Gaslight was first staged in 1938, and in 1944 was adapted as a film starring legendary Academy Award winter Ingrid Bergman. Shaw plays the former police detective Rough, who helps untangle fact from fiction and save a woman on the brink of insanity.
It tours from Monday 30 September to Saturday 5 October 2019.

And this August can only mean the return of The Alexandra’s renowned Stage Experience programme which this year brings a glorious feeling with the hit production of Singin’ In The Rain.
For two weeks this August, 100 local young performers and technicians will follow in the footsteps of stars such as Joe Lycett, and get the opportunity to work alongside a professional creative team to bring the classic musical to life from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 August.
The show is filled with every memorable moment from the film and a downpour of unforgettable songs such as Good Morning, Make Em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the legendary Singin’ in The Rain, and has tonnes of charm, romance, comedy and Tinsel Town glamour.
Meanwhile, currently playing sell-out shows in London's West End, Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical will open its UK tour in Birmingham and will run at The Alexandra from Friday 6 to Saturday 14 September.

Hot on the heels of their incredibly successful production of Half A Sixpence just last month, BMOS Musical Theatre Company returns to The Alexandra once again, with the much-loved festive tale A Christmas Carol, which runs from Tuesday 26 to Saturday 30 November.
The classic tale tells the tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge, a prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but is forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his past, present and future.
And straight from Broadway for the festive season comes the magic of Dr. Seuss’ classic story How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
